My internship experiance !!!!!!

Some tips for having good network and to create a reference for yourself in the 

future (for the fresher or the people who have not tasted the corporate world).

Here are some of the tips with a reason which according to me can be used as 

very strong tools to have a smooth forward vision in the corporate world.

I am interpreting this article as I have experience of 6 months  as intern in

orange trips holidays and odigma consultancy solution.

I am very glad to share my internship experience which may help one and all in

the forward run in the corporate world.

All the contents are based on my experience and it may change according to your

perception.

1. Smart work is equally important as hard work in corporate world

With reference to real life experience, as we can consider a farmer doing 

hard work and on the other side considering business man who makes a farmer  

work, and  earns the profit and enjoys a luxury life.

So hard work alone  can’t lead to a fruitful life. But there should be a 

ultimate mixture of hard work & smart work for the job, so that we earn the 

desired results in the corporate world.

2. Good smart work is always rewarded

As I have mentioned earlier that hard work is always appreciated in the 

corporate world. Motivate yourself to do more productive work in the 

organization. May be some day your talent will be recognized by the authorities 

and it will be like your most successful moments in your life.

NOTE: Above point is with regard to “RAHULSUKHLA” , one of IBA student. 

The one who really worked hard and was appreciated and honored with a 

cash award in the orange trips holidays, for his intensive effort the company 

has generated a good amount of revenue and he was also awarded as a best 

salesman award.

3. Never give commitments, which u can’t fulfill 

Commitment is  what corporate world looks at the end of the day, so commit 

only what you can deliver, else present a valid reason for your answer and if 

u can’t commit u can always reply with ”I will try” , it will be a more positive  

impact  in the mind of your boss.

Once it happened with me, I had committed to accomplish the given task by my 

Boss and as I committed he also committed to his higher authority, the target 

to be achieved by him according to my commitment. As the  situation was that 

for some reason I was not able to fulfill my commitments which ultimately   lead 

my boss in problem for not achieving the committed target by which he was 

screwed by higher authority and ultimately I was screwed by him.

So cause of my  commitment whole organization chain was in unrest.

4.  Hard work is always appreciated in the corporate

Employee will grow if the company will grow, so these are directly proportional 

to each other. If employee works hard, revenue is generated and they will also 

be awarded with good salary.

5. Start your career at grass root level

 No one is born intelligent and knowledgeable from the mother’s womb, 

experience a smaller level will make us more expert in that field.

For me the corporate environment was something new and challenging and I 

aspired for bigger companies, but as I did my internship in a growing  company 

there was lots of work pressure but learning process was more advantage to me 

as we were put to work in all the function of the organization. But in big company 

a specific field is allotted to you and you will be specialized in that only.

So start learning small things by joining growing company and then switch 

over to bigger company which will add value according to your experience and 

knowledge acquired from the growing company.

6. Always motivate yourself in the hard situation even though you’re not 

able to perform

Having  surrounded by all the positive people and doing  things with more 

positive approach is not possible in the real life, as the situation are negative. 

Try motivating yourself more positive so that failure will not rule on you.

If you are positive you will make the environment positive so approach should 

be positive from your side.

Nothing can be achieved without hard work, dedication and a positive attitude,  

if u are positive, people will try being positive with you and will be more 

comfortable with you. Competition among the colleagues are always present to 

pull your leg but it’s your positive attitude and motivating  own self can boost 

the way of success more easier.

7. Everything is new for you to prepare and adopt things around you

Coming out of the comfort zone and taking a step head is a call which leads to 

success. Every step which you move a head you will gain confidence and will

make you reach the desired position one day.

Nothing can be changed according to the million people choice in this world 

somebody has to sacrifice/adopt for achieving something.

The faster you adopt in the organization, you will improve  faster.

8. Never wrong your Bose

Your happiness will exist if your Bose is happy, so make him happy and do things 

in the way he wishes you to work. People’s perception are different so they think 

accordingly and if we want similar perception about things from the opposite 

person we have to agree to disagreement. So effective communication starts 

with effective listening.

Always put things in term of suggestion rather than opposing him for what he 

have done.

And give positive response with a positive attitude for whatever feedback you 

are forwarding to your Boss.

9. Flexibility is key to everything  

First impression is the last impression. Try reducing your eco even if u have a 

degree you have not experienced the corporate life, so if u want some knowledge 

you have to be flexible. You have to respect all seniors as they were there before 

you were there so obviously they are more experience then you are.

10.People differ in their respective talents

Each person is talented in his field of interest, may be they are not able to 

contribute in the particular situation but they can do if situation according to 

their interested field will give the individual a chance/respect

NO ONE IS INCAPABLE/UNPRODUCTIVE .IT’S INDIVIDUAL SICK MIND MAKES 

THEM INCAPABLE/UNPRODUCTIVE.

11. Always smile

Smile is a symbol of positive and confidence, Smile is a very big tool for 

attracting people towards you.

12.Try to enjoy your work with fun and create a lively environment

Even if people approach you after 10 year  they should have  a positive felling 

for you so try to make fun and make a environment memorable where ever 

u exist. And based on their past experience they can decide on to whether to 

recommend you for the job or not so be careful about that.

13.Always provide support to others in unknown situations  

Try to step forward in the unknown situations. May be you don’t know but once 

you attempt, you will learn how to do and  you will  get extra respect /help 

when you need.

14.change yourself  according to the environment  you exists

Don’t compare yourself with your past but compare with the future if you really 

want to move head in life. And change yourself according to the environment  

you exists .

15. self-respect is key to everything

Self-respect is what a very big award which your will be giving to yourself. If 

u respects yourself your behavior will change accordingly. You will think twice 

before doing wrong thing in your life.

For example- a thief if he will respect himself he will care about his goodwill 

before doing wrong thing. And if he will start respecting himself he can 

transform himself in the short run and his likability by the population will 

increase. And he can stop doing wrong thing.
